Ugly Silence

I wonder the possibility

Of anger running through your veins

Because I can feel the bitterness

With every beat of my cocaine heart

How can I

Continue to smile

When my joy

Has been stolen?

From me

The humanity has left

And all that

Remains

Is empty cords

For veins

Empty wires

For nerves

And black ink

For blood

That has run cold

And left my shell

For the ghost of this

Ugly silence
