Even after

Chipped nail polish
Worn down jeans
Your flip flops are breaking
There’s holes in your knees
The breeze chills your shoulders
With your top baring all
You dive in the water
Just a brick in the wall
The others laugh
They splash
They shout
Sirens are blaring
They all get out
You stay in the water
Not afraid to be caught
